Holme Marsh Access Following recent rain resulting with the track being churned up, this has led to vehicles having to be towed off.
Until further notice vehicles are not allowed on the Holme Marsh stretch of the river. This situation will be reviewed by our bailiff Ray and assistant bailiff Mark, who will decide as and when it is safe for vehicles again.
Apologies for the inconvenience, which hopefully will not be for too long
Holme Marsh Access
Following a fence being erected by the sheep farmer, access cannot be gained to Holme Marsh from the Winthorpe lake end.
Negotiations with Mr Hallam and our bailiff Ray resulted with permission being given for access to the "Marsh" being through the first gate.
When you reach the telephone box junction, turn right and go through the village to the padlocked gate (for the combination contact the bailiff Ray Carrick (07752389374).Through the gate and you are at the bottom end of Holme Marsh. vehicles are still not allowed past the middle gate.
